Radio review – BP#28 – “Men in White” (1952) **

Sidney Kingsley’s look at the medical profession. There’s lots of research and detail and angry, idealistic doctors. I’m sure it impressed at the time – it won the Pultizer - but with ER and so on now it’s just boring. The main plot concerns a doctor who just wants to Make People Better but his fiancée wants him to Make Money; fortunately there’s a caring nurse who understands who is there with a shoulder to cry on. Wasn’t this story stock in 1934?
