Movie review - "The Train Robbers" (1973) **1/2

Unpretentious and not un-entertaining, especially for John Wayne fans, but lacks excitement and originality. Writer-director Burt Kennedy’s fondness for scenes involving swirling clouds of dust and long rambling dialogues act as a kind of narcotic for the viewer: enjoyable but cause the audience to watch with a sense of detachment.
