Movie review - "Fate is the Hunter" (1964) **1/2

An intriguing film, part-thriller, part meditation on the workings of fate. The opening sequence is tremendous, the climax exhilarating, and the film’s philosophical theme – that everything happens for a reason – sets it apart from other aeroplane movies. Glenn Ford’s protagonist seems driven as much by guilt and feelings of inadequacy as from any desire to get to the bottom of the truth.
