Movie review - "Yellowstone" (1936) ** (warning: spoilers)

There's two main things of interest to this movie - the second unit location work in Yellowstone itself, and the fact Jdith Barrett's father, Ralph Morgan, has pretended to be off in Australia for years. Barrett's accent drawls at times and I wondered if she was Australian or pretending to be Australian but I think she was just Texan.

Some geeky dude called Henry Hunter plays the hero. It's not a bad story - the search for some bank robbery loot stashed in Yellowstone - and there's some good complications: the robbery happened a while ago, it's being chased after by other crooks and an insurance agent.

The juveniles aren't much but there's decent older support actors including Ralph Morgan and Alan Hale. The national park setting does have novelty. And the mystery is quite solid - I didn't pick Hale to be a baddy. A strong enough mystery.
