Book review - "Aussiewood" by Michaela Boland and Michael Bodey

Bright, not quite satisfying but important book on the recent success of Australian actors overseas: Nickers, Naomi, Geoffrey Rush, La Paglia. Some of the rises were meteoric (eg Bana), others took forver (eg La Paglia). There are some irritating factual errors indicating an over reliance on IMDB (eg Rod Taylor's first two films weren't British, they were Australian and American). It also too often takes the opinions of actors too unchallengingly - actors can sometimes be a bit overly paranoid and insecure.
