Excellent, smart rom com with a very strong cast at the top of their game. Full of great lines and observations – while it smacks of Hollywood here and then (the whole idea of Gosling playing Henry Higgins to Steve Carrell, Carrell’s final speech in front of the school) there is enough truth there to make it worth while. Ryan Gosling will please his many fans, Emma Stone is bewitching, the young kids are excellent. Validates stalkers and Dirty Dancing fans. Love the bit where Gosling asks Stone if she can just ask one personal question of him.
