Poor old Bobby Driscoll had his last great role as the boy who could fly for Disney. He repeats his film performance, as does Kathleen Beaumont, but John Carradine happily joins the gang as Captain Hook. Enjoyable version of the famous play, which has the essentials – Tiger Lilly, the Lost Boys, the crocodile – but the balls were cut off it a bit (eg in this take on it the parents of the Darlings don’t even notice the kids have gone). There are some songs, although not ‘Never Smile at a Crocodile’. The ending spiel talks about how peace has finally come to the US – it was the end of the Korean War.
