Script review - "The Great Gatsby" by Baz Luhrmann and Craig Pearce

Decent adaptation of the novel - "efficient" is the word I kept thinking. Nothing spectacular. There's lots of comments about parties and costumes - you're very aware this is a blueprint for something else.

The part of Nick is bigger - it starts with him recovering from alcoholism in a sanatorium and has him go on to write the novel. Presumably this was to attract Tobey Maguire. The part of Jordan is reduced to next to nothing.

It's solid. His the beats. It's not a rollicking read but they absolutely did not stuff it up.
