Movie review - Chan#15 - "Charlie Chan on Broadway" (1937) ***

Charlie hits New York city - mobsters, wisecracking reporters, nightclubs, gossip columnists, gangsters molls, racy headlines, taxi cabs, flippant cops. It's fast passed and pretty fun - not a terribly lot is memorable about it but the series was in its stride by now, and everyone is comfortable being in New York. The story isn't bad and the killer does a convenient confession before trying to shoot Charlie at the end and Number One Son comes to the rescue.
