Wonderful script, a delightful departure from the cookie cutter hero’s journey template which seems to dominate Hollywood. Its firmly character based and takes its structure more from comic set pieces: the engagement party, a visit to Vegas, the wedding. Charming romance with a cop, plenty of heart, good digressions on friendship and female rivalry. I haven’t seen the film as of writing but it’s not hard to see why this script wouldn’t have become a hot property.
