Minor thriller, based on a movie directed by Fritz Lang, with Ruth Roman as a woman who’s injured war veteran boyfriend has dumped her for a nurse (he did it via letter – is that a “Dear Janet” letter?) even though she has dinner with his photograph every night. So she decides to go out with a sleazy artist. She wakes up unconscious and he’s dead. Dana Andrews is the rather ruthless reporter who investigates.
