Movie review - " Gabriel" (2007) **1/2

Not for everyone's tastes - especially mine - but it has the courage of convictions. It' s a boysie tale that mixes action, sci fi... a bunch of stuff really. Lots of emotive acting and talk about fate and destiny and choice. There is good and evil and women who become hookers and bromance and dark lighting. The budget was probably too low but it does it give an evocative different atmosphere. Some of the acting is quite effective - Andy Whitfield's sharp features carry his inexperience and there's some good over the top acting. Which is like the movie - it has integrity.
