Obelix gets a comic named after him in this dig at captialism. A Roman (who apparently is based on a young Jacques Chirac) proposes de-stablising the Gaul's economy by buying up menhirs, Obelix's funnily useless trade). It is a clever plan and it works. There is some bright satire, particularly when a menhir craze grips Rome - because Asterix and Getafix never get sucked in, though, there is a lack of real urgency and danger.
