Movie review - "Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy" (1981) **
Entertaining enough biopic, and not a total whitewash (for instance, it hints that JFK was not the most attentive husband). The main problem is that in this polite, glossy version of events, Jackie does not seem worthy of a three hour screen treatment: she was iconic, she set a fashion trend, but what did she do, really? Impressed the French, redecorated the White House… And? There is a fascinating story to be told about Jackie Kennedy, but it is not to be found her.
